Truth about COBs
by: lolhouses doing COBs is more of a nationals thing. some houses have a bigger national quota that they have to meet and panhel made the houses take smaller classes this year. it doesn’t mean anything about how good they did it’s just to reach a quota lol

That’s not at all how it works. Panhellenic sets total, which looks at the average women in each house. Houses that are below total for whatever reason (retention issues, sisters graduating in December, etc) are eligible for COB.
This is where nationals comes in. Some nationals require houses to COB to total, even if it’s only a couple of spots and some houses decide it’s not worth it and their nationals doesn’t make them.
Houses above total can’t COB b/c it would be unfair to the houses under total
