Bid Day Facts to Ruin a Troll's Day

This was posted on my twin sister’s (Hi to those who will know who I am!) school’s Greek Rank site when they had recruitment in the fall, and since we seem to have the same troll here, I thought it was worth posting it. I’m changing it to fit Cuse though. Credit to the original author, ofc.

This is my fourth recruitment. I’ve been a pnm, I’ve been in my house, I’ve been involved with the mechanics of Recruitment. These are undisputable facts. Anyone claiming otherwise is flat out lying, and definitely has no clue how recruitment actually works.

1. No one knows what girls a house is targeting. Anyone claiming any house lost their target girls is making it up because all houses want different girls and no, we don’t go around sharing this information. No one is also coming here talking about how they are in XYZ and they lost all their girls, or that their roommate was devastated because her house lost their girls.

2. Likewise, return rates are probably some of the best kept secrets of recruitment. There are only like 2-3 people who actually know return rates for all houses and none of them are rho gammas. Those few people are not coming on Greek Rank to tell people, nor are they sharing this information, or sending screenshots, with other girls so THEY can come on here and tell people. Yes, houses have a decent idea of their own number because of their own internal numbers but once again, it's like 1-2 people who can guesstimate and they aren't really telling their house members so they can run to Greek Rank and tell people. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying.

3. Ahh Snap Bids...The mode of choice for trolls to try to make houses look bad. Here's the thing to know. Very few snap bids are given out here because very few girls get dropped totally or drop out because of houses they have left (This is not the SEC). Once again, no one knows how many houses give snaps, how many they gave, or who got them. Girls in the pledge classes won't even know in most cases and while it’s possible that girls might know that their roommate/friend got a snap bid, they definitely aren’t running to Greek Rank to post about it, and there will definitely not be a huge amount of snaps by any house here at Cuse. For some reason, this troll likes to claim 30 snaps, and that does NOT ever happen.

4. COB happens after bid day and once again, no one will know who is doing COB until the house itself or Panhellenic announces it. Until either of these things happen, assume the house you’re dreaming of is NOT doing it. Yes, some houses take girls without doing formal COB, but they are literally taking a friend of someone in the house and probably only 1-2 houses max. COB happens for many reasons and not always because of recruitment turn out. COB means nothing.
