Everything sororities post is tailored to fit an image they want to project…. what you are seeing on social media and being presented with is rehearsed for months in some sororities to give “cool”/“chill” vibes and often times this is not the reality. People think southern sorority recruitment is crazy, but in reality it’s not that different from some houses here (except maybe the outfits). If a house is posting in matching outfits with color palettes and looking perfect in every picture/video- that means you will have to buy outfits matching a specific color exactly and have your hair and makeup done at 10am just so your house can film a tiktok. You absolutely should not choose houses based on how cool they look/how high their rank is because at the end of the day you’re paying dues and you should be paying your dues to a house with sisters you love, not a house that is just deemed cool/ stylish on social media. Take note note of which houses had the most interesting conversations, involved and motivated members, and houses who genuinely know each other and want to get to know YOU because you will be 10x happier.
