PNMS please do not go into rush caring about ranks and spending all week on this website.
If you go in with a mindset of “I want a top house - a mid or low house is a second choice”, I promise you reek of desperation and we will ALL drop you because everyone can smell a fake from their rush conversations. No one cares what “tier” your house is in, the frats do not care - I promise, and a vast majority of girls in “top” houses do not care nor do they give a second thought to what their “ranking” is, they just enjoy their time in a house with girls they love!
If there is any information you want to seek out pre recruitment thats valuable, find out what the vibe of each house is. it can be hard on zoom to figure out if you’ll fit in at a place or not. As much as they are looking to see if you’re a good fit, you are also “shopping around” to see where you would fit.
If you’re big on academics & activism, Theta might be for you. Big on partying/going out - Tridelt or SDT. You want less involvement in a sorority but still want to know a lot more girls on campus? A chi o is your best bet. Do you have a larger time commitment to give (easy-ish major & good GPA) and want to be busy and involved? Kappa or phisig. There is a house for everyone, and the “top” houses are not for everyone. Pick the place you have the best conversations at, and remember YOU are also in control of where you end up, not just the houses!

Other than what the OP said:
Axid - very close house with sisterhood & tight big/little relationships, don’t party a whole lot, very traditional/typical sorority
APHI - they have a reputation for “mean girls” which is somewhat true, but there are also SUPER sweet girls in this house. Very popular, instagram aesthetics matter, going out and date nights are big here etc
Gphi - basically the same as Theta but they party more. Diverse, mix of many kind of personalities, lots of friend groups, and very smart.
Aephi - peppy, (somewhat annoying) friendly, VERY tight sisterhood, very involved.
Also to the OP, kappa and phi sig are only that much of a time commitment because of how much blow they do. Like seriously, expect to have a severe addiction by graduation if you end up in the wrong friend group at one of those houses (SDT I’m looking at you too). Addiction isn’t ~cute~ just because you put a disposable camera filter on it <3

Weirdly accurate but yeaaa. Also I’d add that you have to be super rich and connected to get into kappa, and be a part of the “summer camp” scene to be in aephi or sdt

Here’s my experience, keep in mind there’s a lot of different vibes in each srat. Also- MC makes a difference.
DG- sweet, pretty, had kind of popular girl in HS but not a mean girl vibe. Not hard partiers but they go out.
GPhi- a range of cute to hot, some partiers and some more low key. Friendly girls with a wider friend circle.
Tridelt- they get a lot of hate on GR because they have killed it the last two years in recruitment. They take a range from high profile hot girls to more sidekick vibe.
AXO- lots of girls involved other activities around SU. Most recent MCs seem more cohesive and cool; used be a mix of pick me type girls with some mean girls thrown in.
SDT- low key fly under the radar. Cute and hot but have a mid tier rep. I think they know who they want in their mc and don’t care much about anyone else.
Theta- do their own thing but don’t isolate like some other other less social srats. A wide mix of girls. Chill but not “cool”.
Aphi- considered top and some assume that therefore they are mean. Yet they do seem to have a solid sisterhood as well as a lot of very beautiful girls, many of who are also friendly.
Kappa- an assertive and self confident vibe. Not without drama. Lots of stunning girls.
AXiD- has the traditional srat feeling, a bit intense in sisterhood but friendly and relatively outgoing.

PhiSig- I agree with a lot of what has already been said here- tends toward partiers. Cute girls, some a bit on the wilder side. Hang out together a lot.

My impressions of the rest….
Aephi- draws an extroverted mix of attractive girls; broh girls to hyper partier types. Stick together.
PhiSig- cute party girls with a solid sisterhood.
Dphie- cute and peppy; some have a bit of a dorky vibe. Friendly and welcoming sisterhood.
AGD- great sisterhood with accepting and kind girls. They go out but it’s not a big focus.\n\n\n\n\n

You should add that having 1 top house left at house tours doesn’t mean you should pref them automatically because they’re top, pref the 2 houses you actually want.
I saw too many girls do this freshman year, end up taking a bid from a “top” house they kept around on their schedule ONLY because they have a “top house” reputation, and not because they actually liked them. One semester in, you realize you have nothing in common with the girls in your sorority and you probably shouldn’t have joined only because “well they party with phi psi and dke?!” Yea no. my best friend had the hardest time with this but eventually ranked Theta over Kappa at pref round 3 years ago and she couldn’t be happier where she is now.
