absolutely disgusting.
by: WOW.I hate/love this website for this very reason. On one hand you can get a feel for the chapter, and see how involved they are, but it's also heartbreaking to see demeaning comparisons and judgements made on this website. No one is a "reject," one chapter is not better than the other. Why are we judging sisters based on conventional beauty standards? Or who parties the most? How do you think it makes them feel when you bash their sisterhood? If what you were looking for during rush are parties and "top tier" ratings you do not deserve to be a part of the Panhellenic community. We should be judging a chapter based on SISTERHOOD, and Philanthropy involvement, things that actually matter. Joining because you want to be in a "top tier" sorority? That doesn't even matter, because at another school your sorority could have a VERY different reputation. People who are making these horrible rankings, especially GREEK MEMBERS are a horrible representation of the greek system by not supporting other chapters. Seeing things like this make me embarrassed to be a part of the greek community at Syracuse.

greek life is what each house makes out of it and what each person makes of it... there is no right or wrong way to be. at SU there is certainly a lot of emphasis on popularity and looks...
Here's where I'm gonna be blunt... YOU CHOSE TO GO TO SYRACUSE!!!
it's a party school that's huge on sports, this is the way things are run here. No one asked you to join a house. greek life isn't the only philanthropic opportunity. IF you wanta help house there are NUMEROUS organizations on campus that are specifically devoted to volunteer work, such as habitat for humanity and APO. Each year, the greek community raises millions of dollars for their philanthropies nationally. Greeklife is REQUIRED to give back to the community.
welcome to the real world. things that "matter" also include physical attractiveness. This is why there are things like make up , clothes, and victoria secrets models. People are innately attracted to people who look good. Its a basic facet of the human experience.
As a consumer society, many aspects of our lives involve rankings. Which college is the best? which sports team is the best. We even have reviews on Amazon, which help us make purchase decisions. This site allows us to evaluate our decisions.
Competition is innate in all living things, needless to say humans. this type of behavior is learned at an extremely young age. It's hard to change when youve done something your entire life.
Without rambling on forever... i just wanta say just let it be...

honestly if everyone house just kept to themselves and didn't care about the others, everything would be fine. but once one sorority attacks another, everything goes wild. everyone just wants to defend their own, but then it just turns into a bashing-fest. my advice: care about your own house and not the others and the problem is solved.
