Lots of self ranking been going on. To clear it up, this is the way it is at Cuse. Houses are interchangeable by tier depending on what "type" you like:
Top: Kappa, DG, Aphi
Upper mid: Phi Sig, Tri Delt, Gphi, AxiD
Mid: AXO, SDT, Theta, DPhiE
Bottom: Aephi, AGD

Here is my take:
Most competitive: Aphi, Kappa, Tridelt, These 4 are consistently are super popular with PNM‘s and tend to pull the girls they want. There’s room for personal preference here but I heard more PNM‘s excited about Aphi and Kappa, then Tridelt, in recruitment last year.
Middle/popular: Phi Sig, Gphi
Both do fine overall year after year, not much variance trending up or down, but solid and liked during recruitment.
Middle/variable: AXO, AXiD, Theta
These houses vary each year based on member classes. Each has its own vibe and not all PNMs like all three. This year, Theta was the standout but both the other two were solid.
Middle/less well known: SDT, AEPhi, Dphie
My opinion, all it would take is for these houses to string a few strong member classes together and they could be more popular with PNMs. It seems like they don’t stand out as much during recruitment as the tier above. Does not mean they are “low”, just underhyped.

Gphi and Phi Sig are more consistently popular with Pnms than others mids - fact. But I agree about DG tho.
