A personal opinion on greek life here
by: TrutherAs a former fraternity member I would like to give my opinion on our Greek life here. It’s way too competitive. Every house is worried about what other houses think of them, how many new members they got, what other houses pnms are looking at, their looks, jungle juice taste, anything. It’s really a shame that this doesn’t feel like a community and all a popularity competition. I think there’s benefits like extensive alumi networks and Being a part of a like minded group is nice but overall there’s so much tension and competition in the community that it can take away from the real experience. If all you want is to party every weekend. Join a club, everyone parties, save the money. This might not be the the case with all houses but with my experience this can summarize the atmosphere here currently
