most houses have payment plans and usually new member dues aren’t paid right away (you’ll have a few weeks at least). Talk to your rho gamma if you’re feeling anxious about money!

There are scholarships available for initiated members but not "financial aid" to cover dues. If it is more than just a couple of weeks where you need to delay payment, you really should consider this. You don't want to be constantly on probation with the chapter because you never meet you financial obligations. And, if you can't pay and you continue, you will probably be taking someone else's spot who can pay.

dues are due every semester and you can choose a payment plan in most houses where it's split up across the whole semester, or you can pay up front. Theres a few scholarships you can get if you work hard for them.

It's easy to feel uncomfortable being upfront about any financial concerns at a school like Cuse where everyone seems loaded. Trust me, LOTS of girls have the same worries as you though! Like others have said, scholarships exists both at local and national levels...but you won't even qualify for those your first semester. Usually they're really competitive. Payment plans help a lot. If someone is in a bind for one semester, sometimes the chapter works to float them. But it's definitely a financial commitment. You don't want to be fined and in arrears for not paying dues. Ultimately, people get kicked out for that.

you need to sit down and really be sure you can afford this before joining. as someone who’s btdt, it’s not fun to be put on financial probation and not be able to participate in everything fully. some houses may work with you but that wasn’t my experience. Greek life is great, but you can have a full social life and participate in so much on campus without it. i know it may not seem that way, esp if you live in a dorm where the majority are rushing—but su is a huge campus. plenty of room to meet quality people and make your remark, both in and out of Greek life.
