Yeah. If you’re a senior, don’t bother. Some houses will take juniors but mainly lower tier, and it’s a little hard as a sophomore to get a bid to a top tier house but it’s a doable

If you are a junior or senior, you probably are getting cut early on. Houses want women with longevity to grow and lead. New members are an investment---four years or one year, the choice is easy. The majority of MCs are freshmen with some sophomores peppered in. (It's NOT a negative to be a sophomore! If you click with the house, generally you're going to be considered the same as a freshman who is equally a good fit.)
