drop
by: ????Is it worth it to drop and rush again as a sophomore or do people usually end up in the same situation the second time

Like reject your bid, drop? You can do whatever you want but I'd get a grip first and take a long hard look at your reasons for wanting to drop. Is it because you think you were matched with a house that's "below you?" Or is it because you don't feel that you're like the other women in your PC? If it's the latter, give it time! The first few weeks of pledging are overwhelming. You have like 60 new girls to meet plus everyone in the chapter. It's a lot. You WILL find your niche---and that's the point of the new member period, to have meetings and events where you'll bond. Some women come into a chapter knowing people already, which can be intimidating. Just give it time and focus on finding 1-2 girls you click with for now. If, however, you think you are "better" than the house you ended up in---you're probably comparing yourself to others. Stop. Obviously they saw something in you that the houses you think you deserve didn't (you were dropped from them!). Is it possible that you could re-rush and end up in their house...yes, some women do get what they were aiming for on the second try. But more likely you'll be in a similar situation next year. Every house on this campus is special and for the love of god the rankings DO NOT MATTER.
