by: hey

If I was to drop this year an re-rush as a sophomore is it going to be hard? I am not dropping because of the house, just time and money commitments will chapters next year look down on that? houses like phi sig, axd, theta, gphi...etc

If you aren't dropping because of the house, why don't you first talk to your pledge educator/president and advisor! There might be a way to defer or something so you don't have to drop....though since you aren't initiated maybe not (there are usually financial leaves that actives can take for a semester or so if there is a hardship). If you end up dropping, I would say be really transparent next year during recruitment that you loved everything but were overwhelmed financially and with adjusting to academics in your first you....but everything is under control and you wanted to try again. Be careful through about the financial piece....you want to be clear that you can commit to dues, etc. once you get your footing back.

Okay, thank u!! is it true that some houses will drop you right away when they find out that you are a sophomore?

Sophomores have it a lot more competitive. If they really like you it won't be a problem. I wouldn't bring up money at all. Say you were focusing on school
