fraternity rush

Is there a formal sign up for fraternity recruitment? Or is it during school? I know for sororities the deadline is soon so was wondering if fraternities are the same.

Recruitment info for frats typically goes out during the beginning of the semester and usually lasts a week. It's a lot less formal than sorority recruitment but it takes place during the school week, so be prepared
