not at all. just go into it with an open mind and don't drop out early because you didn't get the house you thought you wanted. trust the system because most times you'll end up in the house you belong and it'll be the best fit for you.

All the "trust the system" people are full of it. You can find your home in almost any sorority. Each sorority may have different values and standards, but there's also so many girls in each one for you to make friends with. You will almost always find girls you like or don't like in each one. It comes down to the luck of the draw. A lot of times, sororities know who they want before you even see them at recruitment. I personally didn't pick the sorority I had friends in in order to be in the one I felt I had similar values to and good conversations with. At the end of it all, I regretted it for the longest time. In the beginning, I felt like an outsider. Everyone already knew each other and the bigs already knew who they wanted their littles to be. I was just a stranger. I have friends in my sorority now, and I loved my big, but I feel my experience would have been better if I filtered the bs and went to the sorority my best friends were in.
