do sororities drop
by: freshI've heard that at some schools sororities will drop/cut people throughout recruitment, does that happen at syracuse??

I've actually seen a lot of girls come in with the misconception that houses don't drop girls every round. Recruitment is a MUTUAL selection between a girl and a house. The houses aren't going to bend over backwards to court you. You have to put in some work as well.
This isn't meant to be mean but having been on the other side of rush I've seen many girls come to houses acting like they are entitled to bids. No one likes that.

Yes, each round of parties the houses will cut PNMs (potential new members). During each round the PNM will cut houses that they aren't interested in. It is mutual selection where you should ultimately end up with a bid from a house that wants you and you want to join. Go in with a great attitude and you should be fine. Be yourself and enjoy the process.
