professional or panhellenic sorority?

i'm going into engineering next year but i really want to experience being in a sorority. i saw that theres an engineering sorority on campus, is it different than regular sororities or is it boring? am i better off just pledging for panhell sororities instead?? please help lol!

I don't know much about the engineering sorority but I guess it all depends on what you want to get out of being in a sorority.

You can do both. A lot of people are in both professional and Panhellenic sororities.

You can't do both because the engineering sorority considers themselves a "social" sorority (even though they don't have any mixers lol) so it's either one or the other. From my experience the engineering sorority is more of a club. There is no "sisterhood" and they don't socialize with anyone really. If you want an actual sorority experience go through panhell recruitment. I know of many female engineers who are in panhell sororities and are able to balance well.
