by: ConfusedEvery time I watch videos of bid day or rush or whatnot the girls always seems to be freaking out when they meet the other girls in the sorority. But..isn't it awkward to scream and hug a random stranger?

It is. I promise you it is. I rushed last year and went through bid day and was so awkward. I wasn't jumping up and down, I could barely muster up a jog to the house. I just didn't really care that much. I love my house and its the one I wanted but it just wanted that fun... Its okay not to love it, it is awkward. If I had you on bid day as my bid day buddy I promise we would be chilling in the corner while everyone else killed themselves with happiness.

It may seem awkward at first, but it's honestly not! The girls you meet up with at your house on bid day are girls you have met throughout the week and if you're not excited to run to that house, that isn't a great sign. The exhilaration that comes with running to the house you wanted outweighs the awkwardness of being surrounded by strangers. If you think about it, you're preffing a house based on the fact that you could see yourself there and the girls already felt like your friends.
