recruitment questions?

by:

I'll be going through recruitment for the first time this fall and I'm not really sure how it all works. How exactly does recruitment work? What are the difference between each day? And what do you recommend for conversation starters? I don't want it to ever be awkward because I can't think of anything to say lol. Thanks for any feedback on this!

Hi! Don't worry! Your Rho Gam should be giving you the low down on what to expect each day. The difference between the days are based on intimacy and outfits. As the week goes on you'll start get to know the sorority and it's girls better. You'll learn about their philanthropies, what they stand for, and who they are as a house. Your clothing will also change. As the week goes on you will start to dress fancier. The length of time you stay at each house also gets longer. As for conversation starters I recommend looking up each of the houses online and getting a feel for who they are. With research you'll naturally develop questions such as, What does your sorority mean to you? or What does your sorority do to get involved on campus? Sororities will be impressed by your effort to ask questions about them personally, but the girls you talk to will most likely guide the conversation along. Remember this process is all about seeing where you fit best. Don't be afraid to ask questions and really try to make an effort to get to know who you're talking to. Most importantly, give every house an equal chance because most likely you will see yourself being able to fit in at most houses.
