"top tier"

by: Greek Lover

I am in a rumored "top house," when I went through recruitment last year I had no idea what that even meant. I had a good friend who was already in a house here and when she heard I got a bid to that house she was really rude about it, she said that they were all stuck up girls who only cared about their looks and what others thought of them. To be honest, I was a bit worried at first because I thought I had made a huge mistake joining this house but when I went through recruitment I had a feeling like I was where I was meant to be. I just finished my first year and I can truly say these girls are nothing like my friend tried to tell me they were. They are laid back, funny, and could honestly care less about how they look (most the time, weekends not included). They have become my best friends and my closest confidents. I am so glad I stuck with my gut and stayed in the house. Every house is going to have the "typical sorority girl" and don't stay away from a house because someone tells you "Oh, they're top tier. They have no true sisterhood." Find the house that makes you feel like you belong there, the one that makes you feel like your at home, the one that sticks out to you the most. If you're going through recruitment this year, don't listen to others about anything. Follow your gut and you'll end up where you're supposed to be.
