UNL was the only university within the Big 10 to not have an active Delta Chi chapter until this past fall. One of the men in it, who is now a senior, has family ties to the organization and was asked to re-colonize the Lincoln chapter. The whole process is complicated to start a fraternity, so they might not be fully functioning for a few years still. Joining this kind of a fraternity as an upperclassman has a lot of advantages.

Yes, this chapter is more of a joke than a real fraternity. It was formed by a guy who was booted from two other fraternities. He didn't get his way so he dropped DU and is trying to start his own and run by his own rules. Would not recommend this experience for anyone. I don't like bad mouthing but the truth needs to be told on this one. Joining a real fraternity as an upperclassman is encouraged, just not this chapter.
