If you bring it up chances are you'll probably get dropped. If you know that you don't want to be in the house that you're a legacy to or at least want to have a better shot at getting a bid from a different house then you shouldn't talk about being a legacy and if you're asked by a girl rushing you then make sure you say something like, "yes my mom/grandma/sister was in this house and even though I'm close with them I really want to see what other houses have to offer and chose one based on my values and not because I'm a legacy." There are certain houses that hard rush their legacies so another sorority might drop you because they're just not up for competing with them.
