Letters of Recommendation

Are letters of recommendation from alumni of each house required for fall formal recruitment? Is their an advantage to submitting some?

Also, I’m a legacy at a house and my sisters are in two other houses. Does that make any difference?

Letters of rec aren’t required but they can be helpful getting through the first round of recruitment! If you have siblings currently in houses that will for sure affect things because you will always be more likely to go to that house so other ones might not try as hard for you.

I should have clarified, my sisters are in other houses on different campuses, not at UNL. Should I disclose that or that I’m a legacy of my mom’s house, or will that hurt me? Thanks!

You are a legacy to three houses. Let those houses know that you are a legacy, and how you are a legacy. It certainly can't hurt.
