legacy question
by: pnmI am definitely keeping an open mind regarding all of the houses at UNL. I am a legacy to one house and am wondering how much weight if any that carries. My GPA is over a 3.5 and I was moderately involved in high school. I like to think I am easy to talk to. I know there are no guarantees, but does me being a legacy help in getting into that house if it ends up being one that I feel like is a good fit for me?

woah thereeeeeeeee it 100% DOES NOT mean you have a spot in the house. I know 3+ people (including myself) who were in a very similar situation like this girl (over 3.5, legacy, easy to get along with), who were dropped from their legacy houses. Obviously legacies have a better shot at a house, especially the competitive ones that everybody wants to be in, but there is still a chance you're not getting into the house.
