average sorority dues for freshmen?

I just registered for rush, but I need to be able to tell my parents how much it would cost roughly. They are covering all of my tuition and fees, so dues might be a stretch depending upon the costs. I really want to rush though.

I would plan on telling them that ballpark its gonna be $2500-$3000 as a new member for the whole year. It really depends on the house because they are all slightly different but I think the average cost falls in that range. In past years panhellenic council also did a whole seminar/talk about the cost of each house during rush so you'll probably get individual numbers for each house then if that's still something they do :)

I would say about $3000 if you want to tell them that. As a new member, it's a little more expensive. But as soon as the next semester comes by it should be cheaper.
