recommendation letters
by: ?Can I still get into a top tier sorority without a recommendation letter going in? Do I need to get one?

You don’t need a recommendation but it certainly helps. Some chapters weigh letters of rec more than others, so it doesn’t hurt to ask for any just in case. This just gives you a better advantage and makes you more competitive. But to be honest, Letters of rec won’t do much. There’s girls that get into good houses without any and there’s girls with lots of letters that get into lower tier chapters. It’s about who you know, who knows you, and what they know about you. If girls in a chapter know you and like you they’ll put in a good word for you and ask you back, but if they don’t like you, have heard bad things of you or have a bad impression of you they’ll drop you. If I were you, i’d try to build a relationship or connection with girls in the chapters you’re looking into so that they can put in a good word for you during recruitment and you’ll have a better shot at those houses. Hope this helps! :)
