If you go in with an open mind and no pre-conceived notions, you have a 99% chance of receiving a bid! Even if you get dropped by a chapter you think you would fit in, or fell in love with, you must approach every day as a new day and realize the chapters that invite you back see something in you that they really like. Too many women drop out thinking "they are too good" for the chapters that invite them back. See the process all the way through to the end.

I agree with the above post to an extent. There were about 1100 new PNMs last year and around 600 got bids (please correct me if im off on those numbers). You do want to go in with an open mind but you are by no means 99% guaranteed a bid. Some houses don't fit with everyone. Know yourself but be open minded and don't listen to the stereotypes you will hear during recruitment.

I agree with all the posts above. As long as you go in with an open mind and "trust the process," you have a pretty good chance of receiving a bid from one of the chapters on campus. However, it may not be the one you like or the one you think you'll fit in. If you don't like the houses you get back during formal, you can always do open recruitment in the fall and spring. The only downside to this is there'll be less chapters recruiting at this time and it's usually the "lower" or "middle" tier ones.
