rec forms and letters of rec
by: pnmMy aunt was in a sorority at ole miss. All of their sororities require rec forms to be filled out by alums prior to recruitment. Is this a requirement at Nebraska? Do most girls have letters of rec from members of each sorority in addition to these forms?

No they are not a requirement. G Phi, Theta, and Chi O are really the only houses that care about them. Although you do not NEED them to get into those houses. Honestly don't waste your time getting a bunch of rec letters. If you really want to, do some research and get one or two for the houses you like best but still come in with an open mind!

Every chapter is different, but having a letter of rec will definitely help you be more competitive. I know girls in sororities that don't have any so they got into lower tier" houses, but I also know others that got into "top tier" without any. I would say letters of rec are not that important as knowing girls in chapters. Depending on who you know in chapters and what they know about you will pretty much determine how many houses you get asked back to and dropped from.
