what happened at tri delt?

That is just one post on DDD Facebook, there are manymore from other chapters. How can they just continue to ignore all the alumni? Pleasing everyone is impossible but when you have several hundreds not pleased you have a serious problem. How can you recruit these young women then months later terminate half of them? Are there advisors overseeing recruitment? Do Nationals oversee recruitment? These are girls you approved of, correct? If terminating these girls was the right thing to do, failure goes beyond a mistake made because of poor judgment or decision making of a 18/19 yr old girl.

Good point that they are 18 and 19 year-old girls. I can understand if they were breaking rules such as study hours or alcohol rules but they were not. If we want girls to be strong and stand up for what they believe we should encourage and guide them not terminating them

Go on Greek Chat and read from an advisors' point what happened at IU Tri Delta--a 100+ year-old chapter closed--very similar: few reasons given, questions unanswered, parents' concerns and letters ignored.
If I were any young lady rushing, I'd steer clear of DDD period--at ANY campus. This is apparently how they do business.
The sad thing here is for the freshmen--newly-initiated and now many are kicked out....without any hope of joining another group but being stuck for the next 3 years...very sad and classless.

Reasons are given. They are ALWAYS given. DDD is a membership organization and those decisions are private between them and the terminated member. Anyone who says they don't know why they were terminated is lying. Plain and simple. Of course that kind of lying behavior is exactly the kind of thing they got terminated from DDD for.

The above link is the recent article regarding the situation with Tridelts. First, The tridelts of Indiana University gets closed down and now there chapter at UNL. Definitely not a good year to be a Tridelt.

Chapters should not ever get to this point. The communication between N.O. and chapters declines more and more every year. There is absolutely no consistency. What applies this week might not apply the next. The recruitment process is the absolute worst. If you inquire about something regarding recruitment you might not get an answer at all or get 3 different answers from 3 different people.

Actually about half of the 53 new members were terminated then in addition those 25 being terminated approximately 12 more quit.
