sorority question

by:

Am I screwed rushing as a sophomore if my gpa is 3.44? I wish I could round it to a 3.5, bc I hear that is what a lot of houses cut off at.. (A Phi, Chi O..any others?)
Would it be a good idea for me to bring up my gpa during rush with a sister? Would that help me if I'm honest about it? Ahhhhhh. :/ Super dissapointed in myself. I thought I had a 3.5 in the bag.

lie about your GPA rush is extremely competitive and youll only get in if you lie about it thats what every other girl does. If you want to be on a even playing field you have to lie

I'm not going to lie about my gpa.. besides that it would be stupid if I did, because they can easily look at my record..and I think there were some girls who lied, and got caught last August.

I'm pretty sure the 3.5 cutoff is for high school GPA's but lower for transfer students/upperclassmen

don't bring it up to the girl rushing you because there is nothing she can do if your GPA does not make the standard according to the house rules. You will be fine :)

you're definitely not "screwed".. 3.5 is the typical cut off for high schoolers, it's lower for college kids, a 3.44 is above most house averages so you're fine no need to bring it up.

For my house, which I one that is known for higher grades, we cut off at a 3.3 for college students. For high school students it is much higher but on grade point alone you would get asked back to my house.

3.5 is a typical cut off for high schoolers, for college gpa most houses are more lenient. Look on their websites it might give you a good idea of what gpa they hold their members to because that's usually the gpa they hold sophomores rushing to as well. I promise, you are good with a 3.4!!! No worries
