rushing as a transfer
by: ?I'm looking at maybe transferring here in the fall and was wondering what the process was like as a sophomore transfer? Are there a lot of other transfer or sophomores rushing? Is it common? How competitive is the rush process here? I am from out of state so I'm just trying to get an idea of what the process would be like here

I transferred as a Junior and went through open recruitment. Formal recruitment is a lot more competitive but they won't "dismiss" you over transferring. It adds diversity to the house. Just be yourself and you will find a place here. Also keep an open mind and make sure to make your own opinion about houses and not what you see on here. A lot of them are completely different from what they are ranked. :)

I transferred to UNL after freshman year and went through formal recruitment as a sophomore and it was verrry normal and I ended up very happy in the house I wanted. Lots of girls do it, your process will be normal, girls in the houses won't see any different of you than an incoming freshman.
