Just don’t. Seems all fine and great from the start but they only worry about their appearance to outsiders… they don’t truly care about sisterhood.

Will accept anyone. Least ADPi has some standards who they let in. Only reason Phi Mu has people is from freshman who will transfer to other colleges to get into top tier houses at the other colleges.

Kappa Sig is well known for their parties, but not much else. They are off campus, so no one lives...Read More

This chapter is so incredibly nice. The girls are all so connected to each other. The truly live for each other. They are a bunch of normal girls who became sisters!

They had a whole things last year with one of their members saying the N-word on Twitter. Can’t be shocked when all they do is recruit the same skinny blonde white girls over and over. Brag about their DEI chair but I doubt that will hold up with how they recruitment this year. If you’re not a part of the spirit squad or super rich, good luck Charlie.

One of the closest sisterhoods I have seen on campus. They are all super close and very friendly to talk to - not really intimidating at all. They have became one of the top houses over the past few recruitments

If I had to honestly recommend a sorority to any girl who is rushing, it would be DG and/or Chi O. I've been leaving meme reviews on frats and sororities on UNL for a little over a year now. It started as a joke to get a laugh out of some friends, but it has allowed me to gain some insight into the Greek organizations on campus. It tells how superficial a frat/sor is based on how they manage their GreekRank. Sororities like GPhi, Phi Mu, and Tri Delt immediately report negative/joke reviews, and the ones that slip through the cracks and can't be hidden from the public often get dislike bombs and nasty replies. I've had personal requests to delete reviews before that got through reporting due to fear of internal repercussions. Read into these negative reviews and you'll often see that these sororities are described as catty, lacking sisterhood, overly caring abt outside appearance, and inflating their GreekRank with self-ranks. Given how little I've actually heard of incoming freshmen using GreekRank, let alone leaving reviews, it doesn't surprise me that every frat/sor accused of self-ranking has well over 200 ratings even after deleting so many. Good Greek organizations like DG and Pike leave meme and bad reviews on their pages bc they're open, honest, and want prospective members to make informed, deliberate decisions they won't regret. Or more simply, they just have bigger fish to fry and don't care abt what some rando on GreekRank has to say abt them. Maybe it's just that they can take a joke when others can't. Regardless, it shows that these organizations are run by fun, normal human beings instead of hierarchies of obsessive control freaks. The sad irony of this review is that if you're rushing and reading this, there's a good chance this recommendation will mean nothing to you. Frat boys get it easier bc at least they get to choose where they go. For the most part, you don't choose sororities; sororities choose you, but you have the power to say no if you get a bid. Do your research and don't let FOMO and peer pressure get the best of you bc in all honesty, if you're able to get a bid, you can get into parties as a geed girl way easier than if you're a geed dude. You've seen who I like and don't like in this post, but if you're truly deliberating on a bid, ask yourself "Are these people really who I want to spend my next four years with?" If you can't be yourself and have to make yourself fit in, you've answered that question. Greek life is a big commitment in terms of social life, financials, extracurriculars, housing, etc., but for many, it's worth it. If you think it's worth it, accept your bid, but remember that you'll have multiple opportunities to rush. TL;DR: DG and Chi O good. Sororities with 200+ ratings bad.

Talked to some of the rudest girls ever during formal recruitment. Made me feel so unwelcome and totally judged me on what I was wearing. Everyone calls this a top house but I think it is just full of snotty rude girls.
