social life of an independent

by: independent

So I never pledged for a few different reasons, mostly due to finances and poor grades. I'm a sophomore now and lately I've been trying to branch out socially, but it's difficult sometimes since everyone social seems to be involved in greek life and always busy with their own fraternity or sorority's events. What's the best way to get involved in the party scene, meet a lot of people and branch out socially if you're not greek?

rush in the fall and don't aim for a top frat. you're going to have to either pick lower tier or just be a geed

If you're a girl and social you can go to pretty much any open party or downtown if you can afford it. If you're a guy and not super connected you're gonna have a harder time.
