rushing as a transfer

by: transfer

i am possibly going to transfer to Penn. i am just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on what rushing like as a transfer sophomore in the spring is like? is it hard for transfers to receive bids to sororities they like/want to be in? i know some schools require thats sororities must take a percentage of sophomores per pledge class, is Penn like that?

It's pretty hard to get into any decent ones, not going to lie. Unless you have some connections

if you're cool you'll be fine. Out of relevant frats I know Phi Delt has a transfer as does SAE. A bunch of other transfers joined irrelevant ones (Phi Psi, AEPi etc.)

As a girl it is extremely hard to get into a good sorority as a sophomore. Being in an irrelevant sorority isn't as bad as being in an irrelevant frat tho

I was a transfer, and I know some of the transfers ended up in good sororities. Two ended up in tri delt, and I think one in axo. It's not that big a deal for sororities because their pledge classes are so large and filling houses isn't an issue, so they can definitely take sophomores--just a matter of doing well at rush.
