leave it to apes to oversell and poorly coordinate the door of what should have been a great event. how bad do you have to fumble to have the cops shut down a DOWNTOWN. for the record theos runs an event of this size every year with literally zero issue.
apes has been posting here putting themselves at the top of t2 nonstop for the past month because of the downtowns they covered down payments for. but now that they've actually happened: broad hall was mid and not attended by anyone over the age of 18, moshulu was the biggest blunder of all time. great job fellas. hopefully that extra 5k in rush budget is worth having no frat ever want to sign on with you ever again.

I never post on Greekrank but I just wanted to put this out there as someone in a not-Apes frat on Moshulu: We literally had nothing to do with this. Apes was responsible for door and venue communication entirely as the ones who covered the down payment and selected the venue. The only thing other frats did was music, and then after things started going south a little bit of crowd control. We are also just now finding out that the venue capacity was rated at 1000 people maximum, and that they sold around 1200 tickets. But we were left COMPLETELY out of the loop for this decision of when and how ticket drops operated.
Just want to set the record straight. This post is a little overdramatic in how they state it but yeah, we probably won't be signing on to any more Apes-planned downtowns for a while. At least none at new venues.

Can you imagine being this apes brother? having the event you planned flop harder than anything in campus history and then finding a way to somehow blame zbt?

Bro I’ll believe u on having nothing to do with it but please don’t tell me u didn’t know abt venue capacity and ticket sales. I found venue capacity on the internet and I found ticket sales on the posh link.

If you checked the Moshulu page tonight, it literally said they had over 1000 tickets sold.

im not in any of the four frats but this is so obv theos posting.
theos, you think everyone forgot about you overselling pool in ‘21 and it getting shut down? plus… theos was in charge of tickets for moshulu & anyone who’s ever planned a downtown knows no one is ever “just in charge of music.”
just take it like a man, dude. say a little oopsie & move on

nah sorry i dont buy this for a minute bro. friends of mine run downtowns all the time and theyre talking to other frats constantly. b4 every drop the downtown chairs are going back and forth ab price, number, etc
