downtown analysis

bored so lets do this.

back2school - smaller attendance. tickets are also still available day of and the later drops didnt sell out. sort of expected for the earliest event... but this is barely above a flop.

riverdeck - big attendance, sold out. that being said the later rounds also took time to sell out. after door last year delt lowered the prices in response... will be interesting to see it plays out, definitely less hype than last year

pool - huge attendance, sold out quickly as usual. completely expected.

sunset - if there is anything close to a flop this year... its sunset. couldn't even sell out GA 2 it looks like.

beer garden - pretty solid sales so far. will have to wait and see how GA 2 goes to say for sure, but for all the criticism this event got it sure hasn't flopped. if anything, props to delt and zbt for sidestepping the castle or theos tax (iykyk) with this

moshulu - probably the event with the most hype this year. every drop has been sold out near instantly, and the sales are actually higher than pool. will be interesting to see if this one is worth the hype, but in terms of sales, huge win here for apes in quantity of venues but also quality

noto - standard noto... the attendance is relatively small but thats mostly because of the venue. nothing unusual here.

if there's one lesson to take from this: the frat that runs the downtowns don't matter for attendance. ironically theos and castle have the event with least interest (sunset), with apes as a close second (back2school). at the same time moshulu is the most hyped, despite having a mess of four fraternities all signed on. to the surprise of literally only downtown chairs... everyone else cares way more about timing/venue than the production name on a FB invite.

and as much as you guys love to go back and forth on this website, every single relevant frat is laughing their way to the bank right now and they all made off pretty well... unless you're zete or owls. sorry fellas.
