what is riverdeck and why is everyone hating on it

Hi I'm a freshman checking this site for info on NSO events. I keep hearing about how bad "Riverdeck" is but I have no idea wtf a riverdeck is. I know a lot of other freshmen feel the same so if someone could fill us in that would be great.

Riverdeck is an nso event and people have been hating on it because it is a waste of money… It’s super expensive and no one gets in including people with Real IDs that are 21 it’s also a daytime event so people are like really tired from the big night time parties
