Freshman Rush Guide: 2023-2024

I did my best here. Take it with a grain of salt and understand that rankings are subjective. Nonetheless, these are generally accepted tiers with only marginal differences between ranks atp.
Tier 1: Top
Castle, Theos, Hall, Owls
Tier 2: Low Top
Zete, Delt, ZBT, Apes
—Dropoff—
Tier 3: Upper Middle
Fiji, SAE, Elmo
Tier 4: Middle
Phi, Sig Chi, Sammy
Tier 5: Lower Middle
Beta, KSiG, AEpi
—Relevancy—
Tier 6: Bottom
Sig Ep, Crows, Sig Nu, DKE
T7: Irrelevant
TEP, ATO, Pike, KA
T8: Dying or Dead
Phi Psi, Lambda, Pilam, OZ
—Descriptions—
T1: The Scene. Downtowns, best parties, best srat relations, especially with theta and tabard.
T2: Still the Scene. Downtowns, great parties, T1-2 srat relations
T3: Solid frats with big on-campus presence. T3 srat relations w some T2.
T4: Okay frats with T3 srat relations and the occasional big on-campus party
T5: Last bit of relevance in the Penn social scene. T4 srat relations at best.
T6+: not relevant to the Penn social scene at least in terms of meaningful Greek life.
Bonus: Best Parties/Events (in my humble opinion). Essentially what these frats are “known for” in my eyes.
Castle: Magic Gardens
Theos: Pool Party
Hall: Paddy’s/Hoco Darty
Owls: Brunch
Zete: Thursday Night Late Night
Phi Delt: Pharm
ZBT: SkiBT
Apes: Foam
(Other frats have solid events like SAE hoco and Sammy backlot but these 8 really are in a tier of their own)

I think their house is a blessing and a curse. Sick spot and great architecture. But the dry house actually blows and I hate their off campus houses

Y'all... let's be clear
ZBT is not above APES. Apes took most of their rushes to begin with after ZBT gave e-bids to all of them. Fiji literally stole a whole bunch of ZBT rushes in the end. ZBT pc is really bad.
Owls is not T1 whatsoever. More like bottom T2.
Zete always throws great party had a 7 person PC, got all their rushes stolen.
Hall does pool party with theos, for those of you not aware. Woodser, rush events, and getting the right crowds to parties are theos' strength.
Farm is spelled FARM not pharm which suggests this post was by an international (prob in owls since somehow owls is in T1).
Apes definitely had better events than foam -- foam is literally for freshman and grimey asf.

@4...these takes are awful what fckin greek life are you in?
ZBT and Apes are equal in essence. I rushed both and ended up in neither...apes performs well in rush but get dogged by ZBT event.
Fiji took the ZBT bottom feeders imo
Owls is 100% top T2/bottom T1. Again, not sure what greek life you're in but it sure as hell is not bottom T2. Brunch is a top tier downtown alongside MG. And their srat relations blow delt/zbt/apes out of the water.
Pool is literally ran by both but the general Penn population knows it as a Theos event...
Also I think OP spelled it Pharm as a play on Phi Delt + Farm lol
