How is apes top?

I am a freshman so maybe you guys just know something I don't. But last year I did not think a single apes event was memorable. Silent disco was ok, foam was pretty bad, and... that's it? But I see people putting them on the same tier as Owls, ZBT, or even Phidelt and Iiterally am dumbfounded as to why.
