not oax. and some use it for transfer students instead of people who didnt make it in as a freshman

they still have to take sophs, there's not enough transfers for them to meet the soph quota. tridelt, theta, aphi only take a few transfers. knowing people does matter a lot for sophomores as everyone will be pushing for their friends to get into their sorority. however there is still a chance just due to numbers, i know girls who got zeta freshmen year, didn't take the bid and a top srat. so it can happen

All (Panhellenic) sororities are required to take like 5-10 sophomores, but for tridelt, theta, and aphi, those sophomores are usually girls that are close friends with girls already in the sorority and either didn’t rush as freshmen or dropped for some reason. If you don’t know anyone, shoot for chi o or Sdt. Oax isn’t Panhellenic and therefore isn’t required to take any sophomores… they will only take a couple of girls who are best friends with current oax members.
