Should I Ask a Friend to Give Me a Bid?

In my legal studies class, there's a brother in Phi Delt, and by random assignment, I worked with him and a few others on a group project.
He didn't end up doing any of his work, so I helped out and did all of his part to get in his good graces, and he texted me thanks personally.
I was wondering if I should text him back asking for a bid? I'm a freshman looking to rush next semester, and Phi Delt would be my top choice if he gives me a bid!

If he reads this site, you just did. Take a deep breath, and then forget you ever had this idea. It’s not a winner, and will likely cause the opposite result. Nobody wants to be brothers with a blackmailer or someone who is so transactional. You are really nervous and anxious about rush; no shame there. Just be relaxed and be yourself, and things will work out. Maybe at Phi Delt, maybe somewhere else, but they will work out.
