Yale vs Penn
by: connecticutYale Restricted Early admit here. Got my Penn likely letter this month. Only applied to Harvard and Penn during RD rounds but I really doubt I will get into Harvard. Academically Yale College is marginally better than Penn's College but Penn seems to offer the better "fit" for me- not to mention the broad exposure to entrepreneurship, tech, science and liberal arts that Penn offers (unlike Yale where ppl tend to be in their own academic bubbles). Really love Philly over New Haven... so just asking y'all what do you love about Penn/Philly social life?

Unless you are artsy (design, film, music, etc) or interested in a political career in Washington, I would choose Penn over Yale any day. Penn has produced some of the best technologists, investment bankers, consultants and research scientists who usually work behind the scenes and are not well known like famous lawyers or politicians.

But to answer your question, my favorite thing about penn is the easy and inexpensive access to vibrant parts of the city

good choice, not that important but Penn is the "southernmost" Ivy and has better weather than Yale on avg

penn doesnt feel isolated no and i would prolly choose penn cas over yale tho def not pton or harvard. but we all have our own reasons, no point getting the deets off this site
