on campus is on-campus, and off campus is off-campus.. yw

On campus has to answer to different national bodies (IFC and Panhel) and is recognized by the school

Off campus doesn’t have to answer to those organizations and is more self managed/less controlled in terms of how they do things

There’s obviously more nuance than that but that’s the gist of it

since on-campus are under OFSL, the office can access your transcript and other info any time like your advisor can..
