Why the disappointment?
by: OddEuphso many girls around me are upset that theyre pledging sdt. like it was everyone’s second choice. why do they bother ranking it if they don’t want to be there? there are girls in other lower ranked houses who aren’t complaining. why is everyone in SDT upset about it? if they didn’t want to be there, maybe they shouldnt have ranked it so their spot could go to another girl who would appreciate it.

roommate rushed as a soph this year and preffed SDT instead of theta. for some people it isn’t all about the scene. lmao.

i noticed this too with sdt. maybe they take more girls than other houses. as for the disappointment i think it’s just a shock to the ones who had a different first choice. it doesn’t mean they’re not going to like sdt, it just means they were expecting something else. they aren’t taking spaces from anyone, they just have to get used to their new reality. i thought the girls at sdt were really nice and fun.

sdt is def second choice for a lot of people but its a solid mid tier house. generally tridelt and theta rejects end up at sdt and aphi. theyll be bummed for a hot minute and get over it. its not like a few other houses where people would rather drop out than pledge.

if they didnt want sdt they wouldnt have ranked it at all. theyre just disappointed bc it was their second choice (or their only choice) but they still chose it over not being in any house. theres been hella dirty rushing too so maybe they thought they were locked in at their first choices and were just surprised on bid day.
