not race related as far as i know but last year during recruitment chi o wanted to change up its image and get more girls that would typically go to aphi/tridelt. they told girls that didn’t fit this “new image” to stay in the kitchen all week and weren’t allowed to meet pnms. girls who are PAYING, ACTIVE members were basically told by their “sisters” they weren’t cool/good enough. really sad and idk why people didn’t talk about this when it happened. no tea no shade to the girls in PC 20 tho

This is a fallacy... just because we engage in immoral behavior does not mean there isn’t a spectrum in which we can call those out who engage in greatly worse behavior on that same spectrum ... with this logic no one has the right to fight for any injustice

That’s obvious but it shouldn’t stop us from fighting the relatively smaller injustices and besides racism in Greek life might feel like it isn’t small to a white person but to a person of color who has experienced some level racism throughout his life, racism at a liberal intellectual institution feels like a gutpunch... it’s all subjective

you're absolutely right, no one should ever care or try to fix any sort of injustice if it isn't affecting every single person in the history of the universe.
Interesting how you care about child slaves in Bangladesh but you don't care about global warming destroying the planet. Don't think you're holier than thou for caring about labor rights.

everyone has the right to a good life and if the main thing getting in the way of that is someone's race, then it is worth fighting for no matter how little it may seem in the great sea of problems... no one's asking the entire country to fight for racism in greek life at Penn, but fellow Quakers?- yes
