what did OAX do?

by: oax what did they do

People have been talking about oax and what they've done in the past few days with regard to rush and their culture. Can someone elaborate?

there were comments talking about the truth on the other post, but it seems someone conveniently paid for them to be deleted!

2 girls quit last week. to my understanding and from screenshots i looked at, it seems that girls in oax were making really hateful political comments and a lot of people were supporting them, so these 2 girls suggested that ppl try to have some more respect, they got a bunch of hate, and oax basically sided with that so they left. now a bunch of people still in oax are really unhappy

Oh okay. I’m guessing the 2 that spoke up were conservative? Either way “hateful” is a subjective term so gotta hear both sides of the story . But thank you!

I only know of them through others, but I heard they're biden supporters from conservative families, not that it should affect the argument they were making much. If u are seriously interested in OAX, continue to talk to girls in OAX, but maybe also try to talk to one of the girls that left, doing both could prob help u get a more complete idea of the org

yeah there were def problems on both side with the oax thing but I think the way it all went down is reflective of the organization at large - performative action where people are villanized without instead taking the opportunity for growth and learning. They will post IG stories praising inclusion, feminism, and having more "depth" but each semester there is some kind of blow out issue (ie oax girl calling a black frat guy at a mixer a "slave")

Girl in what world did you ever hear oax girls called a black frat guy a slave. False information like this is extremely hurtful, not just to the organization but to the community as a whole.

Its not misinformation.. it happened, the girl is still a member of oax but is not allowed to attend mixers at the frat. I would say who but out of respect for the guy i won't

it objectively happened ... i'm sure the girl regrets it but it's still indicative of the larger problem at oax. girl's think that bc they are so "woke" and "chill" they have the right to sweep a lot under the rug.
