Why I think OAX will drop in relevancy

1) Srats are allowed to do fall rush. Literally completely undercutting the one advantage OAX had in attracting the attention of frosh over everyone else
2) OAX’s class is normal but other srats are catching up. Namely, Aphi and SDT

I think OP means sororities are now allowed to openly talk to PMNs in the fall or "dirty rush" (as if this wasn't already happening) according to Panhellenic. This is more for schools that rush in the fall because recruitment registration numbers are much lower. As for Penn I'm not sure how this change will affect meeting girls in the fall, sororities probably won't be able to host large recruitment events but maybe coffee chats or lunch dates

this change will likely only last as long as social distancing measures so I don't really see OAX dropping drastically in 1-2 PCs (if even that many) if this even changes anything

this will last way past quarantine and isn’t even having to do with the hybrid learning. basically it means that OAX since it wasn’t a legit sorority didn’t have to follow any rules and could rush/haze girls on any timeline they wanted, thus giving them more flexibility. OAX would give out bids the night before panhel sororities would, so girls would be pressured into taking a guaranteed thing rather than take their chances with the legit houses. now, Panhellenic is letting srats dirty rush all through the fall too, eliminating oax’s precious advantage. Should definitely be interesting, because I don’t see them keeping that edge.

As I said this will probably only be for 1-2 PCs. Maybe this will allow sororities to get better PCs for now but OAX will get that advantage back. Panhel literally only is allowing this because alot less girls are signing up for recruitment right now since schools that rush in the fall are doing online recruitment which is a turn off. This policy will eventually go away in a year or two because the process is meant to be as fair as possible and it isn't if sororities are allowed to dirty rush. Also, unless Aphi and SDT are actually committed to being more diverse i still see POC leaning towards OAX.
