At the end of the day these are kids you are going to be spending a very significant amount of your time with. Choosing a frat with a little less clout but that you vibe with more will make you have a much better experience even if you may not gain as much social currency. This isn’t high school anymore.

As you get to know the bros more & spend more time together, is it possible you will bond w/ the guys from the clouty frat? Only you know if that’s a possibility. Hard to develop deep, meaningful relationships during rush. The real bond is yet to come.

Go for the one you fit with best. You’ll gain meaningful relationships that will improve your college experience instead of chasing clout. No brainer here. Brotherhood first

If the less clouty fraternity doesn't care about clout and you don't, then maybe thats a better fit. But if the less clouty fraternity cares a lot about clout and tries too hard to be cool, that's a pretty bad environment to always be in and you probably won't be as happy there.

You have to ask yourself what you really want from a fraternity? Do you want a more social life and to meet more people? Do you want to just chill with people you know you already vibe with? Ask yourself why you are even joining a fraternity and you will find your answer. People meet their best of friends in unlikely and uncomfortable situations

What places are you choosing between?

Always prioritize PC. Penn is a whack place and really uncool people seem cool here. If you vibe w the pc and know they are cool sororitys and others will find out soon enough trust me. PC most important for sure.
