greek life?
by: SouthIf this is what you guys call Greek life and you guys have no idea what the word even means. Being a transfer student from a SEC university in the south. The sororities and the fraternities at the u have NOTHING I REPEAT NOTHING!!! on real Greek life. Those chapters yall live in are 1/6 of what the chapter houses in the south. Being a sorority girl and seeing how pathetic the Greeks are here, I honestly would never take it seriously or considere being active here even though there's a chapter of my sorority here, I rather be inactive. That being said. Chill out advertising how "bad ass" your parties are and how much popular one sorority is to the other. In the grand scheme of things yall are not in the real Greek life. This is just the off brand market pantry version of the real honey nut Cheerios. Yall wouldn't last a second in Alabama. Roll tide.

The fact that you are calling Greek life here irrelevant just proves that YOU have no idea what true sisterhood is. I honestly feel sorry for you that you are this stuck up and close minded. The girls here are smart and caring individuals who genuinly care about each other and their chapters as a whole. Yes, it isn't the biggest Greek system in the country. But who honestly cares?? If your chapter means something to you that's what matters. Not what some ignorant girl who clearly doesn't belong here thinks.
Have fun being a geed!!! Based on what you said, you don't even live up to half of any of the Greek woman on this campus.

She's right. Greek life at the U blows. In general, if you don't become a member of a top frat or sorority, just don't bother going Greek at all, especially with the amount of weird, middle-tier houses that exists on campus.
If you're confident and good-looking, finding friends at the U isn't that hard.

No I did not get into the University of Minnesota, did not even apply. I am from Minnesota, I go the Vanderbilt University. The " Harvard" school of the SEC. So much harder to get into the UM. Please stop the irrational comments about sorority girls in the South( I am proud to be a member of sorority at Vanderbilt). The only difference between sororities in Minnesota and in the SEC, and that there are more of them in the south, and membership is huge. No one is doubting Sisterhood at anyone of the houses at UM .....
