facebook

note to clueless freshmen

by:

It's probably a really bad idea to post on Facebook about what your favorite sororities are and which you think you're going to get a bid in.

1. You're not guaranteed a bid, period. Plenty of girls don't.
2. Let's be real, the odds are against you getting into a top house with a pledge class of 30 out of the 600-900 girls that register for rush, sorry.
3. Not only do the girls in that house see your posts on Facebook, but the girls in OTHER houses do as well. Bam, you're blacklisted at other houses before you even register for rush. Possibly even the house that you posted about.

Don't be stupid, you don't know about the greek system's dynamics, and you haven't even met with the sororities. Don't judge a book by it's cover before you experience rush and the sororities for yourself and DON'T be an idiot by posting about it on Facebook.

she made a post on the class of 2019 page asking who was planning on rushing Alpha Phi, and then said on another post that she was rushing and had her fingers crossed for a phi. Pretty pathetic and hilarious actually.

You can pretty much say its a fact that this Alexis chick and those who liked that post are cut from rush. If she has half a brain she will delete the post. SEriously girls be open minded and dont make stupid social media posts. These girls just ruined their recruitments.

These girls are wanting A Phi without considering any of the other 4 or 5 great, strong houses... (Kappa Pi Phi DG AOII and maybe even G Phi)? Or even the "weaker" ones? Sounds like girls we don't need in our community.

Trust me, sororities see what you post on Facebook, ESPECIALLY if it's in a group with 4,000+ members. There may be a lot of girls who go through recruitment, and you may think something little like this won't affect you, but any hint that you're not interested in the house you're at and they won't bother and you'll be cut first round. In this case, maybe BEFORE first round. It's good to be excited about joining a sorority, but hold your horses, you haven't even met any of the women in the house you're interested in yet. Delete your posts before your do any further damage.

Just shows how caddy and immature sorority girls are. This thread is an embarrassment to the U and Greek life.

This Alexis girl still hasn't deleted her comments on the class of 2019 page and other pnms and actives have seen it and laughed from what I know. It would really be in everyones best interest to be open minded and consider ALL the houses.
