do sororities care if you live on campus?

i am an incoming freshman and i am thinking of doing formal rush but i am not living on campus. i will be commuting by car everyday and idk if that will affect how sororities will think of me because i think they might prefer girls who are on campus. ive heard that girls always talk about housing situations during rush and typically during the first round so i don’t want this to affect how the rest of my recruitment process will go. thanks!

You don’t have to live on campus and it won’t affect your recruitment process/how sororities think of you whatsoever. Just make sure you are able to attend meetings and other gatherings in person!
