Rushing as a junior transfer?

by:

So I’m a transfer student who will heading to UMN this fall from a local CC, and since community college didn’t really offer much in social aspect of college life I’m looking to make the most of the 2 - 2 1/2 years I’ll have at the U. This last semester I worked an internship with some fraternity guys who I got along with pretty well, and I think I’d like to rush in the fall. Question is, can I expect to have a rough time doing so seeing as I’m coming in as a junior? Would 2 years in a fraternity be worthwhile?

Anybody who’s willing to give their opinion on this is appreciated.

It's less common for people to rush as juniors, but it definitely happens and is worth it for the people who do it!

Not many houses will invite you as a junior, I did it and I’m in one but it’s only 3 or 4 that are open to it. They prefer freshman because they want the money for 4 years.
